MEHMET BATALLI (1944-2004)

Our founder, Mehmet Batallı, was born in Gaziantep on 01.01.1944. In 1971, he graduated from Yıldız Architecture and Engineering University, Department of Chemical Engineering, and in 1975, he completed his master's degree in Chemical Engineering at New York University (NYU), USA.
He served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce and Industry between 1980 - 1984 and 1986 - 1989. Mehmet BATALLI, who was a Board Member of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) between 1986 and 1988, Chairman of the Board of Presidents of the Southeastern Anatolia Exporters Association between 1987 and 1989, and a member of the International Chamber of Commerce between 1986 and 1987, started its operations in 1987. He was among the founders of the Turkish Promotion Foundation. Mehmet BATALLI, who has been a member of the Turkish-American businessmen's association since its establishment and was the president of the Gaziantep sports club between 1981-1982, took an active role with other members in the establishment of Gaziantep University in 1987.
He passed away in 2004, after a successful and exemplary life.
